Murder mysteries
AsesiDoku.
A deduction game where every case is a floor plan, a few suspects and a list of clues. Place everyone where the clues allow: the body lies in the only free square, and the murderer is whoever was alone with it.

How a case is solved
- Every row and every column holds at most one person, the victim included.
- You are never told where the body is: once the suspects are placed, one row and one column are left empty, and the body lies where they cross.
- Thick walls split the plan into rooms. "Next to" means an adjacent square, horizontally or vertically, inside the same room.
- The murderer is whoever was alone with the victim: the body's room holds exactly one suspect.
- Every clue is true and every case has exactly one solution. You reason it out; you never need to guess.
What you get
- 2000 original cases across six tiers, from 5×5 plans you solve in a couple of minutes to 9×9 cases that take an afternoon.
- A daily case in two versions (easy and extreme) and a daily sudoku, always free.
- 2000 classic sudokus with pencil notes and the same six tiers.
- Time trials, duels and two-week leagues with friends, shared by code: no accounts.
- When you finish a case you can share your result as a colour grid plus a link that opens that same case, without spoiling the solution.
- Playable tutorial, dark mode, colour-blind palette, English and Spanish, fully offline.
Frequently asked questions
- Is AsesiDoku free?
- Yes. 500 cases and 500 sudokus across every tier, the daily case and daily sudoku, time trials, duels and leagues are free. A single €1.99 payment (no subscription) unlocks all 4000 boards and removes the ads.
- Do I ever have to guess?
- No. Every case is checked by a solver to have exactly one solution reachable by logic alone. If you find yourself trying things, you have missed a deduction.
- How is it like sudoku?
- It shares the one-per-row-and-column rule, but adds rooms, objects and written clues like a detective case. Think of the "who did it" logic grid puzzles from puzzle books, played on a floor plan.
- Will I like it if I play Murdle, Clues by Sam or escape rooms?
- Most likely. It is a murder mystery deduction puzzle with a new case every day and clues that interlock, but set on a floor plan with rooms, and with 2000 cases besides the daily one.
- Does it work on Android or a computer?
- The app is for iPhone and iPad. On Android, a computer or a tablet the whole game plays in the browser at asesidoku.pages.dev, with nothing to install.
- Does it need an internet connection?
- No. All 4000 boards ship inside the app and the game works offline.
- Can I play with friends?
- Yes: duels on the same boards for both players, leagues of 3 to 12 people, and shared results with a link to the same case.
